Our New Ski Norway Programme

We have been working over the summer putting together our first ski programme to Europe and are happy to report that we have just gone on sale with 3 new resorts in Norway for the 24/25 season.

What's the appeal of skiing in Norway, you might well ask? So we went to check out all 3 resorts and have come back very impressed by the quality of the product.

SNOWSURE

In a world where the climate is changing and the snow is proving patchy in the Alps at some stages during the winter, you can pretty much rely on good snow conditions in Norway from November through to April.

VALUE FOR MONEY HOLIDAYS

We have been pleasantly surprised by the affordability of a ski package to Norway. We use mainly BA and SAS flights and many holidays, particularly in January are costing well under £1000pp for 7 nights inc. flights, resort transfers and accommodation. Also with some of our resorts offering an Early Booking Offer on Lift passes (Book by 30 Nov 24) the cost of passes, rentals and ski school compares very favourably with most European ski destinations.

IN RESORT

Costs in resort are not as expensive as they used to be due to the relative strength of the £ against the Norwegian Krone.
Beers cost around £10, Pizzas maybe £15 and all resorts have well-stocked supermarkets for those self-catering.
We do recommend taking a half board deal if you're staying at one of our hotels that offers it, as this way you pretty much lock in the holiday price before travel.

The 3 Norway ski resorts that we have chosen to launch our programme all offer something different for clients.

BEITOSTOLEN

A family-run resort which caters extremely well for families and beginners or for those looknig to practice their technique, Beitostolen offers two separate ski areas, a pleasant little village and a wide range of accommodation options from cosy to affordable quality. it also focuses on winter experiences beyond just skiing with activities such as dog-sledding, cross country skiing (which is huge here), snow rafting, snowshoe tours and ice fishing to name but a few.
For a small resort, it offers more apres ski than you would think with the Lodge900 being the main apres bar and then later in the evening you can visit the Svingen pub for Quiz or Karaoke night or the Brew House with its almost 40 beers on tap.

GEILO

Regarded as one of the premier Scandinavian ski destinations, Geilo has a long history of mountain leisure and is very well set up to cater for all kinds of skier.
Separated into two distinct ski areas on opposite sides of the valley, connected by a short bus hop, families will enjoy the Vestlia side with it's Kids Club and easy slopes for children. There are a couple of on-mountain dining experiences such as Kikut Bistro which are atmospheric and well worth a visit.

The Geilo side of the ski area links over the back to Havsdalen and offers a range of cruising runs that stretch along the peaks.
The resort centre is small but offers shopping and dining options from Peppe's Pizza to fine dining at Hallingstuene.
