Steamboat Springs is a true western town with over 100 years of colourful history. Never far from its ranching roots, Steamboat ski resort remains firmly linked to a Western tradition that sets it apart from every other ski resort in the world. Guests truly appreciate Steamboat's many services and amenities, too: a wide range of hotels & motels, condominiums, lodges and bed & breakfasts for all tastes and budgets, including many slopeside accommodations, 100+ pubs and restaurants, two full-service supermarkets, ten liquor stores, ten cinema screens, plus lots of shops and art galleries. Steamboat also provides unique off-mountain activities, including the Strawberry Park Hot Springs and horseback rides, along with more traditional winter fun: snowmobiling, sleigh ride dinners, snowshoe tours, spa services and more. And the ski resort sits within the city limits!

THE SKIING IN Steamboat SKI RESORT

Steamboat is actually a complete mountain range made up of Mount Werner, Sunshine Peak, Storm Peak, Thunderhead Peak, Pioneer Ridge and Christie Peak, with terrain offering a diversity of trails for all levels of ability. With 165 trails, 1,118 vertical metres and nearly 3,000 skiable acres, Steamboat's six peaks are filled with world-class groomed cruisers, bumps, steeps, open meadows, legendary trees and progressive levels of terrain parks. The vast gladed areas are Steamboat's particular claim to fame, with abundant Champagne Powder snow in the trees for the most avid powder hounds, while the Sunshine Peak is an intermediate paradise with long, wide groomed cruisers. And all with beautiful 360-degree views of the Rocky Mountains and the Yampa Valley.

Ski holidays to Steamboat can be either flying into Denver nonstop and a four hour coach transfer or alternatively, fly into Steamboat Hayden (min. one plane change) with a 45 min transfer.
