Okemo SKI RESORT

Okemo is a little gem of a resort tucked away off Vermont's historic Route 100 on the way to Killington. Most understand that Okemo is what it is: a lovely, family-run mountain where you can find great slopeside lodging, friendly staff, excellent food and quality skiing - all with the same great snow.

Split into two base areas, you will find high quality accommodations to rival those found in the upmarket resorts in the Rockies. The Jackson Gore base area offers great accommodation and The Spring House, the resort's new source for relaxation and rejuvenation is a two-level, 18,000-square-foot pool and fitness center.

Just down the road is the quaint new England town of Ludlow where you can shop and eat out.

Off-Mountain Restaurant The Downtown Grocery in Ludlow, opened last fall by Chef Rogan Lechthaler (formerly of Stratton's Verde). Try the house-made linguine with lobster.

Apres Spot is Tom's Loft Tavern, at the main base, for great company, local beer, and irresistible jerk chicken wings.

THE SKIING IN Okemo SKI RESORT

With 96% snowmaking coverage and consistent top rankings for snow quality amongst the Vermont ski areas - it's hard to argue Okemo doesn't have the best snow in the East. From the top of Okemo, 119 different trails and glades will lead you
to quality time with those you hold near and dear. And that's just for starters, as further adventures await those who decide to check their skis and boards. Cross-country skiing, snowtubing, snowshoeing, skating, ice hockey, and the brand-new Mountain Coaster are other fun all-age activities available at Okemo. Afterward, retire to the Jackson Gore fire pit for a well-deserved warm-up while the kids play in one of the Okemo Igloos and Snowplay areas. With so many things to do, you'll find a visit here well worth it in so many ways.
